The Wind Is Us: The Death that Killed Capote by Mike Broemmel follows the life of author Truman Capote from his days researching his iconic “non-fiction novel” In Cold Blood until his death in 1984. The play reveals how and why Capote’s life collapsed because of his most-acclaimed work, resulting in his premature tragic death.

Slated for a world premiere in 2024, The Unreachable Star is the latest edition in the Iconic Women Theatre Series. The play tells the incomparable life story of singer and actor Connie Francis. The goal is for the play to premiere in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the city Connie Francis made famous.

A Lady & Her Wagon: The Life of Julia Greeley by Mike Broemmel is a biography chronicling the life of Julia Greeley. She became known for her charitable works, pulling a red wagon through the streets of Denver in the dark to bring food, coal, clothing, and other necessities to needy families. She made her rounds after dark so as not to embarrass white families ashamed to accept charity from a poor, black woman.

Witness: The Story of Virginia Hill by Mike Broemmel is a play that chronicles the virtually inconceivable life of a woman named Virginia Hill. The play is structured around her cantankerous appearance before what officially was christened the U.S. Senate Special Committee to Investigate Organized Crime.

Martha Calling takes to the stage this year, premiering in Texas as part of the Iconic Women Theatre Series. The play is structured with the bold and brash woman who was instrumental in bringing down the corrupt presidency of Richard Nixon presenting her life story on stage in the form of comedic stand up.

The Hours of Anne by Mike Broemmel chronicles the final day in the life of Anne Boleyn, the time leading up to her beheading in the Tower of London. The play sets the record straight on numerous factual inaccuracies about Henry VIII's second wife that have persisted for hundreds of years. 

Primera Dama by Mike Broemmel presents the true life story of Eva Peron, the former First Lady of Argentina better known as Evita. For two decades, the operetta Evita has warped the life story of Eva Peron beyond recognition. The play is slated to begin a new run in 2024. 

The Bonfils Girl by Mike Broemmel and Seth Holley is a drama in three acts that tells the incomparable life story of Helen Bonfils. Helen Bonfils was the first woman publisher of a major daily newspaper in the United States.  She was also one of the first women producers on Broadway. 

Taking Tea with the Ripper by Mike Broemmel is described as "a disturbing look into the mind of London's most infamous serial killer." The play explores the first night of the “London Gentleman’s reign of terror.

A drama in three acts by Mike Broemmel, Kiss tells the tale of Jacob Roone, his two daughters, Olivia and Anna Beth, and a young gentleman suitor. The Roone family leads a hardscrabble existence. The characters in Kiss are horribly broken people, confronting incest, predatory sexuality and coming to terms with abortion. In the end, the play reminds a theatergoer that where something is broken, it can turn out stronger in the end – sometimes. 

A raucous comedy by Mike Broemmel, Six Joan Crawfords is a satirical take on film, television, and theatre. The play lampoons talentless actors that oftentimes populate productions, Broemmel drawing on his own dismal experience in working with a half-dozen divas in a dreadful production of Steel Magnolias.  

Divinely, Alone: A Picnic with Divine presents a candid, accurate, entertaining look at the life of boundary breaking performer Divine, also known as  Glenn Milstead. The play follows the iconic performer from their childhood in Baltimore to their truly untimely death in Hollywood the night before their career was to head on an amazing new cours. 

Call Me Mrs. Evers chronicles the life of civil rights, women’s rights, and human rights leader Myrlie Evers. After the assassination of her husband, Medgar, Mrs. Evers carried on his life’s work.

A comedy-drama, two women with starkly different lives end up trapped because of weather at a quaint inn located in the Shenandoah Valley. An older waitress, worn by the world, and a young actress, puzzled by her life, spend time alone. With no other alternative, the women talk. Humor and pathos combine to tell a tale … of all of us. The play makes its world premiere in Denver.
